The purple and blue heroes. Most are early-game stand-ins, but several have jobs that stay useful all game.

**TL;DR:** Keep **Jessie** (rally joiner) and **Patrick/Sergey** (garrison joiners) for life. Use the rest for their city skills (research, training, healing, stamina, gathering) with only a couple of stars each.

Note: Roles per one community guide. None of them is worth investing in for combat.

## How far to invest

- Early on, a core of Epics around **4★** (Sergey, Bahiti, Gina, Jessie) carries you until your Mythics are built. One guide notes a fully built Epic outperforms a barely built Mythic.
- City-skill heroes (Jasser, Ling Xue, Seo-yoon and the Rares) only need **a couple of stars** for their bonus to be worthwhile.
- **Jessie** is the one Epic worth pushing long-term, for her joiner skill.
- Stop starring Epics you’ll replace. Put those shards toward your Mythic core instead.

## Getting them

- Shards come from daily Exploration, events, recruitment, daily login rewards and the alliance shop.
- One event guide lists **Walis Bokan**, **Seo-yoon** and **Jasser** as free from the “Home & Beyond” daily-login event.
